Ascend Medical seeks a Medical Assistant to support care teams with clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced primary care setting.

You will book telehealth visits, triage patients, prepare exams, enter chart notes in the EMR, and guide patients through insurance benefits while delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and strict attention to accuracy, with a focus on delivering high‑quality care across digital and in‑person interactions.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare preparation.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years MA experience in healthcare setting.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Book telehealth appointments, triage patients virtually, and record patient interview, history & chief complaint in EMR.
• Facilitate telehealth consultations by pre-visit chart review and planning; ensure equipment is operable.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physician with exams and referrals.
• Coordinate with Care Coordinator to align care plans and follow-up appointments.
• Manage inbound/outbound communications (calls, chats, emails) and route to appropriate team members.
• Educate new members on Ascend Medical services and help navigate insurance benefits.
• Process patient messages and relay pertinent information to physicians.
