Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical teams, handle patient care, and manage routine administrative tasks. You will field calls, respond to patient portal messages, and ensure accurate documentation in the EHR. Required: CMA certification or equivalent and knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA.

Colorado-based licensure preferred; remote options may apply. Two years' experience in patient care and admin duties is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA rules and regulations required.
• Familiarity with patient portal and electronic health record (EHR) messaging and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and clinical teams with patient care and administrative duties.
• Field patient calls and voicemails promptly and professionally.
• Address patient portal and EHR messages within designated timeframes.
• Ensure accuracy and proper documentation in the patient’s electronic health record.
• Communicate with the clinical care team as needed.
