Job summary

Vail Health in Colorado is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical teams, manage patient records, and handle administrative tasks that keep patient care running smoothly.

You will field patient calls and portal messages, document in the EHR, communicate with the care team, and demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations. Certification as CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA certifications or equivalent.
• Knowledge of EHR systems, medical terminology, HIPAA and OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Field patient phone calls and voicemails promptly and professionally.
• Address patient portal and EHR messages within established timeframes.
• Ensure accuracy and proper documentation in the patient’s EHR.
• Communicate with the clinical care team as needed.
• Support providers and clinical teams with patient care and administrative duties.
