Job summary

Aetna is seeking a Member Service Representative to support Medicaid members and providers with inquiries on eligibility, ID cards, benefits, and programs. This full‑time role offers remote work opportunities and requires residence within 50 miles of Linthicum, MD.

You will handle calls, maintain performance standards, and work from home with company equipment. If technical issues arise, you may commute to the Linthicum office; strong communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Must commute to the office in Linthicum, MD when unable to work from home due to prolonged technical problems.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals.
• Ability to work from home independently.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming member and provider calls and respond to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, and extra benefits and programs.
• Maintain high‑speed internet connectivity via ethernet cable; Wi‑Fi is not permitted.
• Use company‑provided equipment and training.
• Commute to the office in Linthicum, MD when unable to work from home due to prolonged technical problems.
• Communicate effectively with members and providers orally and in written form; meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals.
• Work from home independently and prove self‑sufficiency.
