Job summary

Rex.zone is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to own end-to-end development of electro-mechanical systems in a remote, full-time capacity. Qualifications

  • Experience in mechatronics/robotics or automation product development.
  • Strong fundamentals in control systems, motor control, sensors/actuators, and system dynamics.
  • Hands-on CAD experience (e.g., SolidWorks) and design for manufacturability.
  • Experience with PLC programming, embedded C/C++, Python tooling, or ROS workflows.
  • Ability to plan experiments, analyze data, and document results clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Design and integrate mechanical assemblies with electronics, wiring, sensors, and actuators.
  • Develop and tune control loops for motors/actuators (motion control, PID tuning).
  • Write or support embedded software and PLC logic for automation systems.
  • Create test plans; execute verification/validation; analyze failures and drive corrective actions.
  • Produce documentation: requirements, schematics, CAD drawings, BOMs, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with product, manufacturing, and quality on DFM/DFT, reliability, and cost targets.
