Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Analyst in Remote U.S. location to support engineering tools and mechanical design software.

The role combines mechanical engineering with software license management, automation scripting, and deployment of engineering tools across multidisciplinary projects in aerospace and defense. The ideal candidate has a background in Python/MATLAB, Windows/Linux environments, and at least 2 years of experience.

Qualifications

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
An Advanced Degree in a related field.
Technical Support and Admin experience with Windows and/or Linux Environments.
Programming experience with Python, MATLAB, or equivalent languages.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

Coding & Automation – Develop and maintain custom scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks related to mechanical engineering workflows. Utilize Python, MATLAB, or similar to enhance efficiency in data analysis and simulation.
Software Deployment & Maintenance – Lead installation, configuration, and deployment of software tools for mechanical engineering analysis, modeling, and simulation; troubleshoot and provide support.
Software License Management – Manage and track software licenses, ensuring compliance; maintain centralized inventory, renewal schedules, and user access.
