Job summary

AssetWatch is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and refine the mechanical aspects of its connected hardware platform. You’ll develop assemblies, fixtures, and documentation, collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure production readiness.

You will execute in SolidWorks, manage BOMs, and align with manufacturing methods, material selection, and regulatory compliance. This role supports a distributed team across the United States with flexible remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to design mechanical assemblies with an emphasis on durability and manufacturability.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing methods including molding, machining, fixturing and tooling.
• Experience applying DFM/DFA principles with clear drawings and revision control.
• Hands-on experience prototyping, testing and driving products to production readiness.
• Strong documentation and communication for remote, distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical product assemblies, fixtures and refinements for AssetWatch hardware.
• Build and test prototypes; generate drawings, BOMs and select OTS parts with Supply Chain.
• Ensure sound manufacturing methods, material selection, structural integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Develop SolidWorks models/drawings and guide products from concept to production readiness.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners across a distributed remote team.
