Job summary

AfterQuery Experts is seeking a remote, project-based Mechanical Engineer to contribute hands-on CAD and mechanical design work. You will create and refine CAD models, generate manufacturing-ready drawings, and support product development across projects with asynchronous collaboration.

Ideal candidates have a degree in mechanical engineering or related field, hands-on CAD proficiency, and the ability to document methods clearly for reproducibility.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in mechanical engineering, product design, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in at least one major CAD platform (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, CATIA, NX, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated ability to produce detailed mechanical designs and engineering drawings to industry standards.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and iterate on mechanical designs and CAD models for components, assemblies, and systems.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation to manufacturing standards.
• Perform engineering analysis and support product development workflows.
• Document design decisions, assumptions, and methodologies clearly and reproducibly.
