Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Civil Maritime Licensing/Regulatory Lead to oversee licensing activities for floating nuclear power plant and civil nuclear propulsion projects. You will guide teams, develop regulatory strategies, and coordinate with engineering to ensure compliance with NRC/DOE requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least seven years of nuclear licensing experience, with U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in nuclear licensing and regulatory matters in the U.S. framework.
• Subject-matter lead capable of guiding teams through complex licensing processes.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DOE/DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop licensing plans for FNPPs and civil nuclear propulsion apps.
• Coordinate license applications and regulatory deliverables.
• Develop regulatory strategies addressing technical and programmatic issues.
• Lead licensing basis development and defense for reactor technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate regulatory requirements into design.
