Job summary

Mattr is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Cost Analyst to oversee costing, inventory management, COGS, warranty, freight, and cost control within manufacturing operations. You will partner with production, finance, and supply chain teams to provide accurate cost insights and support data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes cost analysis, standard costing, and continuous improvement, with a focus on reducing waste and improving margins.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing complex cost structures including direct and indirect manufacturing costs.
• Proven expertise in warranty cost management, freight cost analysis, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory valuation and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Develop cost accounting methods for inventory including standard costing and work-in-process.
• Monitor inventory turnover and optimize excess/obsolete inventory.
• Analyze COGS, monitor variances, and propose corrective actions to protect margins.
• Collaborate with production to track direct materials, labour, and overhead costs.
• Prepare cost estimates for new products, changes, and capital investments.
• Lead cost reporting and financial analysis to senior management and plant leaders.
