Job summary

Mattr is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Cost Analyst to oversee manufacturing costing, inventory management, COGS, warranty costs, and freight analysis. You will collaborate with production, finance, and supply chain teams to provide accurate cost insights and drive cost-efficiency in manufacturing operations.

The role emphasizes detailed cost analysis, standard costing and reporting, with a focus on improving cost control and decision-support across the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of cost accounting or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing inventory, COGS, and cost control.
• Warranty cost management, freight cost analysis.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory valuation, reporting, and reconciliation to standards.
• Develop cost accounting methods for inventory (standard costing, WIP, finished goods).
• Analyze COGS, monitor variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production to track direct materials, labor and overhead.
• Prepare cost estimates for new products, changes, and capital investments.
• Oversee warranty expense analysis and related cost control.
• Manage freight costs and optimize distribution networks.
• Prepare regular cost reports for senior management and budgeting.
• Lead cross-functional cost-improvement initiatives.
