Job summary

Language Services Associates, Inc. is seeking qualified Mandarin-English telephonic interpreters to join its network of independently contracted interpreters. You will handle on-demand calls to facilitate LEP communications across diverse settings.

This role requires full fluency in English and Mandarin, comfort with web platforms and Word, and a quiet, secure workspace. Prior interpreting experience and industry certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in English and Mandarin required.
• Proficient with web-based platforms, email and Microsoft Word.
• Must have a quiet, secure interpreting space free from external noise.
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry certifications (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting.
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices.
