Language Services Associates, Inc. seeks Mandarin-English interpreters to join its network of Independently Contracted Interpreters. You will handle audio and videocalls on demand and facilitate communication for LEP communities across various settings.

Qualified candidates are bilingual (English and Mandarin), tech-proficient with web platforms, email, and MS Word, and have a quiet, secure interpreting space. 1+ year of experience and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Follow all policies and interpreting protocols and best practices.
• Support LEP communities across diverse settings as part of LSA's interpreter network.

Overview

As an audio/video interpreter for Mandarin in LSA's network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you are responsible for handling audio and videocalls on demand and facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings. Language Services Associates is continuously accepting qualified interpreters!

Responsibilities

• Provide effective audio and video interpreting through a web based platform
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices

Qualifications/Experience

• Full fluency in both English and Mandarin
• Technology proficient (web-based platforms, email, Microsoft Word)
• An interpreting space that is quiet, secure, and free from outside noises
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.)
