Job summary

TEAM - The Evangelical Alliance Mission is seeking a Legacy and Major Gift Planner to join our development team. You will manage a portfolio of donors, design giving strategies, and collaborate across communications for outreach.

Travel up to 40% and lead major and planned giving initiatives, while upholding TEAM's faith-based mission and vision. This full-time exempt role requires relationship-building and fundraising excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, philanthropy, communications or like field.
• CFRE, CSPG or CAP certifications desired but not required.
• Four years of full-time fundraising paid work experience or ten years of related volunteer experience for nonprofits.
• Proven record in executing major and planned giving best practices in donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and engagement.
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding organizational planned and major giving goals.
• Mature and growing follower of Jesus Christ.
• Strong relational ability; helps others meet philanthropic goals in a biblical context.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally; attendance at events may be required.

Responsibilities

• Understand TEAM's values and mission and articulate those values in conversations, writing and personal demeanor.
• Manage relationships with a portfolio of donors and prospects to support annual, major and planned giving.
• Set and achieve realistic, stretch, and quantifiable giving goals for individuals and team.
• Design and implement individual giving strategies; solicit donors and prospects through proposals and personal contacts.
• Effectively manage budgeted dollars for major and planned giving activities.
• Create and implement stewardship strategies for assigned donors and prospects, including growing the planned giving community.
• Collaborate with Communications on marketing for major and planned giving groups (mail, newsletters, website, webinars, social media, etc.).
• Oversee planned giving policies and procedures.
• Remain current through reading, networking, courses, and training.
• Facilitate estate gifts and oversee CGA program with external vendor compliance.
• Travel up to 40%.
