Mercy Chefs seeks a Major Donor Relationship Manager to cultivate transformational partnerships with generous supporters and help fuel our mission. This role focuses on inspiring generosity, stewarding a portfolio, and presenting compelling giving opportunities.

You will join a collaborative Development team, use CRM tools, and travel up to 50% to meet donors and witness our mission firsthand.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fundraising or development experience (major gifts preferred).
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding ambitious goals.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Experience managing donor portfolios and CRM systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A high degree of professionalism and discretion.
• Comfort engaging in faith-based conversations when appropriate.
• Heart aligned with Mercy Chefs’ Christian mission and values.

Responsibilities

• As Major Donor Relationship Manager, you will:
• Inspire and generate $2M+ in annual major gift support.
• Personally steward a portfolio of 100--200 major donors contributing $10,000+.
• Build deep, trust-based relationships that help donors feel known, valued, and connected.
• Present compelling opportunities including annual, multi-year, legacy, and asset-based giving.
• Share powerful stories of impact that demonstrate how generosity transforms lives.
• Identify and cultivate new major donor prospects aligned with our mission.
• Design personalized engagement strategies for each donor.
• Represent Mercy Chefs with passion, professionalism, and integrity.
• Travel up to 50% to meet donors in their communities and witness our mission firsthand.
