Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide premium support for CICS and WAS on z/OS. The role focuses on installation, testing, and maintenance of system software, with a strong emphasis on performance tuning and problem resolution.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on mainframe experience, deep knowledge of CICS TS/WAS, and proficiency with IBM SMP/E. Remote work within the United States is supported as part of a client-facing team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of hands-on zSeries/mainframe experience including installation and maintenance related to CICS TS/WAS.
Strong knowledge of CICS TS concepts, configuration, and tailoring with related OEM products.
Experience with IBM SMP/E and using its practices.
Ability to monitor and tune CICS TS regions and related software.

Responsibilities

Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers involving CICS TS and OEM software.
Provide primary support for issues related to CICS TS/WAS.
Offer 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
Install OEM software products following Ensono standards and best practices.
Prepare customer partitions for OS upgrades using checklists and proactive actions.
Support customer migrations and transitions for CICS TS and OEM products.
Assist project managers with migration efforts and removing technical hurdles.
