Job summary

Ensono is seeking a skilled Mainframe Systems Programmer focused on CICS TS and WAS, offering remote work across the United States. The role emphasizes installation, testing, and maintenance of system software, as well as disaster recovery coordination and customer migrations.

The candidate should have 5+ years of zSeries experience, strong CICS TS/WAS knowledge, and the ability to work in multiple time zones with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on zSeries/mainframe experience with CICS TS, WAS, and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS concepts, configuration, and tailoring.
• Experience with IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Fulfilling CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers in relation to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for CICS TS/WAS related issues.
• Support 24x7 x 365 operations across multiple time zones.
• Install, upgrade, and tailor OEM software efficiently according to Ensono standards.
• Prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrades with proactive actions.
• Assist in migrating newly acquired customers; address technical hurdles promptly.
• Collaborate on disaster recovery tasks with DR Services.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures and implement vendor fixes.
