Job summary

Ensono seeks a Mainframe Systems Programmer – CICS & WAS for a remote role in the United States. You will provide premium support for z/OS environments, focusing on CICS TS, WAS, OEM products, installation, testing, and maintenance of system software.

Responsibilities include 24x7 on-call coverage, system tuning, migrations, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful customer transitions while following Ensono standards and ITSM procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years on the zSeries (mainframe) with hands-on installation and maintenance of products related to CICS TS / WAS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS, CICS TS related OEM products, and installation/tailoring.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts, configuration and tailoring.
• Experience with IBM SMP/E and mainframe performance monitoring tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers in a timely manner related to CICS TS and OEM software.
• Provide primary support for reported problems related to CICS TS / WAS and OEM products.
• Provide 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones.
• Follow procedures for installing OEM software products per best practices and Ensono standards.
• Assist in migrations and customer transitions related to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Support disaster recovery plans in cooperation with DR Services.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures and implement fixes/upgrades to z/OS products.
