Job summary

Topcon Positioning Group is seeking an Application Specialist – Machine Control to provide field and phone-based support for Machine Control solutions. This role handles inbound technical cases from dealers and customers, performs on-site installations, and delivers training when needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Machine Control systems or related construction technology.
• Working knowledge of GNSS systems, hydraulic interfaces, electrical systems, and software configuration.
• Ability to manage multiple active cases in a fast-paced support setting.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Field & On-Site Support: Travel to customer job sites and dealer locations to support Machine Control installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Dealer & Customer Training: Deliver onsite and remote training using approved training materials and curricula.
• Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with Sales, Product Platform, and Professional Services teams and document case notes for engineering teams.
• Phone & Call-Center Support: Provide real-time troubleshooting guidance by phone and remote tools, documenting steps and resolutions.
• Documentation & Process Adherence: Create defect reports and technical documentation to support engineering resolution and knowledge sharing.
