Job summary

Topcon Positioning Group is seeking an Application Specialist for Machine Control to provide field and phone support, including on‑site installations, calibrations, and troubleshooting. The role emphasizes responsiveness, clear communication, and adherence to established workflows, with extensive travel up to 50% to support customers.

Ideal candidates have hands‑on Machine Control experience, GNSS knowledge, and strong problem‑solving skills, plus willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Hands‑on experience with Machine Control systems or related construction technology.
Working knowledge of GNSS systems, hydraulics interfaces, electrical systems, and software configuration.
Ability to manage multiple active cases in a fast‑paced support setting.
Strong verbal communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.

Responsibilities

Field & On‑Site Support: travel to customer job sites and dealer locations to support installations, commissioning and troubleshooting.
Dealer & Customer Training: deliver onsite and remote training using approved materials.
Cross‑Functional Support: work with Sales, Product Platform, and Professional Services teams on deployments; document case notes.
Phone & Call‑Center Support: handle high volume inbound support; diagnose and resolve common issues; provide real‑time guidance.
Documentation & Process Adherence: use documentation and workflows; create quality defect reports and knowledge articles.
