Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Science in Medical Assisting from an accredited university/college and/or 3-5 years hospital, medical office, clinic, or hospital business operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtains information (including physician orders to schedule tests/procedures) from physician offices for scheduling tests, procedures and admissions in an accurate, timely and sequential manner.
• Incorporates faxed data, including History and Physical, physician orders, and patient data from physician offices by logging into computer.
• Demonstrates good rapport and cooperative working relationship with physician office staff, all hospital departments, physicians, and co-workers.
• Assist the Manager in maintaining technology application including maintaining accurate centralized scheduling dictionaries and on-line instructions, monitoring data integrity, suggesting upgrades for Meditech requests, order entry and implementing system upgrades.
