Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company seeks a Loss Mitigation Supervisor to oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliant loss mitigation processes. The role emphasizes productivity, training, and accurate reviews across FHA insured workouts and modification cases.

Candidates should bring extensive mortgage default experience, strong leadership, and knowledge of industry regulations. Hybrid work with some in-office days is available; location preference includes CA as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; some college or technical training; seven+ years mortgage default/ loss mitigation experience; supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business preferred; supervisory experience required.
• Expert knowledge of mortgage loan documents, regulations and debt collection standards.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with CFPB, FCRA and FDCPA preferred.
• 10-key by touch strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor metrics and maximize productivity and compliance.
• Hire, train, coach, discipline and exit team members.
• Perform loan quality control and audits to ensure standards.
• Coach FHA workouts and underwriting modification decisions.
• Review denied cases and propose feasible alternatives.
• Analyze escalated accounts for compliance with modification guidelines.
• Participate in client/homeowner calls related to loss mitigation.
• Provide weekly productivity reports and remediation tracking.
• Respond to audits with formal remediation of findings.
• Develop training on investor rules, policy changes and best practices.
• Lead department projects to improve processes and tooling.
• Maintain professionalism in consumer communications via phone, email, or letter.
• Review FHA Waterfall calculations for retention options.
