Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking a Loss Mitigation Supervisor in California. The role oversees daily productivity, ensures compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines, and guides a team through loan workout processes.

You will coach staff, manage projects, and maintain accurate records to support timely, quality outcomes. The position requires supervisory experience in mortgage loss mitigation, strong math and analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office and lender software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and some college or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Seven+ years mortgage default, loss mitigation and short sale experience, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
• Expert knowledge of conventional and government mortgage loan documents, including related compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; highly organized and detail oriented.
• Advanced math skills; proficient with internet searches and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Monitor productivity and compliance across loss mitigation operations.
• Hire, train, coach, and manage team members; provide performance feedback.
• Perform quality control on loan workouts and underwriter modifications.
• Review denied cases and research feasible alternatives.
• Communicate with clients and homeowners; provide timely status updates.
• Generate weekly productivity reports and track action items to meet deadlines.
