Job summary

Regional Reporting, Inc. is seeking an Insurance Loss Control Consultant to perform commercial insurance loss control inspections and produce underwriting reports.

You will travel to client facilities, observe operations, photograph interiors and exteriors, and document exposures to guide underwriting decisions. Requires at least 2 years in loss control, solid knowledge of Property, General Liability and Inland Marine lines, NFPA codes, and strong writing and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Loss Control providers or major carriers
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance lines (Property, GL, Inland Marine)
• Identify building construction and ISO classes
• Broad understanding of NFPA codes
• Strong writing, organizational and computer skills
• Ability to work from home with PC, internet and a cell phone
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle
• Ability to climb a ladder up to 6 feet
• Digital camera or smartphone with picture capability
• Measuring wheel or similar tool and camera pole

Responsibilities

• Record onsite observations, measurements and photos per carrier requirements
• Identify building construction type, square footage, hazards
• Complete assignments/reports by due dates
• Communicate with Field Manager to complete inspections cost-effectively
• Coordinate inspection meeting times with insured onsite
• Prepare and report inspection results, upload photos and diagrams
• Travel to insured locations; some overnight travel may be required
