Job summary

Smartling, the AI-native translation platform, is hiring a Localization Operations Specialist on the Managed Services team. You will own the end-to-end localization lifecycle for a portfolio of enterprise clients, serving as the primary operational point of contact and trusted advisor.

This remote-first role emphasizes strong client relationships, optimizing processes, and leveraging automation and AI to scale workflows across time zones.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of localization or translation project management experience.
• Solid understanding of localization file formats, content types, and CAT/TMS tooling.
• Strong client management skills and ability to lead calls.
• Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (Jira, Asana, Looker, Google Sheets).
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams across engineering, QA, and vendor management.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and juggling priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as embedded localization operations expert and primary operations contact for assigned accounts.
• Foster stakeholder relationships, navigate priorities, and coordinate cross-functional teams to run localization programs.
• Design and optimize localization processes within Smartling’s platform and client tools, overseeing end-to-end job lifecycle.
• Solve problems independently and with the team, bringing a solutions-first mindset.
• Proactively drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements and leveraging automation and AI-enabled solutions.
