Thomson Reuters is seeking an Associate Sales Specialist, Local Government to prospect and sell cloud-based solutions to county and city agencies, law enforcement, and public safety organizations across the United States.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of sales or business development experience, government/public safety or SaaS a plus.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Interest in local government structures and procurement processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to network with public-sector officials.
• Willingness to travel and learn local government procurement cycles.

Responsibilities

• Own territory: generate pipeline, advance opportunities, and drive revenue.
• Outbound prospecting to county and city agencies, law enforcement, and public safety orgs.
• Meet or exceed territory quotas and monthly/annual targets.
• Collaborate with Account Executives while building local market knowledge.
• Log activities and pipeline updates in Salesforce; participate in coaching and training.
