Job summary

McGarity Consulting Group seeks an experienced LMS Specialist for a part-time, remote 1099 engagement with a national healthcare association as it migrates to a new LMS. The role focuses on business process alignment, content readiness, testing, and governance without handling technical implementation.

You will work with the client and implementation partner to ensure user adoption, reporting needs, and staff readiness are addressed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
• 3-5 years of experience administering, supporting, managing, or consulting on LMS.
• Hands-on experience with major LMS platforms such as Cornerstone OnDemand, Workday Learning, Docebo, SAP SuccessFactors Learning, Absorb LMS, or Moodle.
• Experience developing or documenting LMS workflows and business processes.
• Experience supporting LMS testing, including UAT scenarios, test scripts, issue documentation, and validation.
• Ability to communicate technical LMS concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide LMS subject-matter expertise to McGarity's organizational change management and learning team.
• Collaborate with the client's LMS implementation vendor while maintaining boundaries with IT and implementation teams.
• Translate business, learning, and user requirements into practical LMS workflows and operating processes.
• Map current and future-state workflows for LMS administrators, staff, instructors, and learners.
• Support assessment and prioritization of existing content for migration, update, consolidation, archival, or retirement.
• Develop content-migration readiness criteria, checklists, and tracking tools.
• Review proposed LMS workflows for usability and sustainability.
• Develop and document UAT scenarios and participate in testing and issue tracking.
• Identify reporting, analytics, and learning-mactrics requirements.
• Define LMS-related roles, governance, and admin procedures.
• Contribute to staff readiness assessments and training strategies.
• Create or review LMS training materials, SOPs, guides, and staff resources.
