Job description

We are sourcing a contingent OCM — LMS Transformation Lead for an upcoming proposal with a national healthcare association. This opportunity is contingent upon receiving the client contract. Inclusion on the proposed project team does not guarantee a subcontract, start date, minimum number of hours, or minimum compensation. You will lead the people, process, governance, communications, training, and adoption activities associated with the client’s transition to a new LMS. A separate technology vendor will implement the platform. This role will work closely with that vendor while leading the organizational changes necessary for successful adoption.

This hands-on role combines change strategy, project leadership, stakeholder facilitation, business-process design, communications, training, readiness assessment, and implementation support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the day-to-day lead for OCM activities.
  • Develop and execute a practical change-management strategy and work plan.
  • Apply a recognized change framework while adapting it to the client’s culture, capacity, and implementation timeline.
  • Facilitate discussions with executive leaders, work groups, program teams, technical staff, and external learners.
  • Develop stakeholder maps, impact assessments, readiness assessments, risk registers, and adoption plans.
  • Help establish governance, decision rights, roles, responsibilities, and accountability for the client’s learning portfolio.
  • Facilitate alignment among teams with different programs, audiences, funding requirements, and working practices.
  • Support the development of consistent processes for free, member-based, and fee-based learning programs.
  • Help define which content belongs in the LMS and which should remain on websites, community platforms, events, or other channels.
  • Develop practical tools for prioritizing, updating, consolidating, archiving, retiring, and migrating content.
  • Work with the LMS vendor to define and document staff and learner workflows.
  • Coordinate organizational aspects of user acceptance testing, including participant selection, scenarios, feedback, and readiness findings.
  • Develop internal and external communications plans supporting the LMS transition and launch.
  • Design and deliver role-based staff training, job aids, videos, checklists, and support materials.
  • Help prepare staff and learners for go-live and identify interventions for adoption risks.
  • Support early post-launch evaluation, feedback collection, issue prioritization, and continuous improvement.
  • Transfer tools, processes, and responsibilities to client staff before engagement close.
  • Maintain project documentation and provide timely status, risk, decision, and progress reporting.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational change for an LMS, enterprise learning platform, or comparable technology implementation.
  • Experience with learning and training program development and LMS implementation or use.
  • Proven success creating and executing stakeholder engagement, communications, training, readiness, and adoption plans.
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to build alignment across teams with differing priorities.
  • Experience documenting workflows, roles, decision rights, governance processes, and operating procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with technical implementation vendors without duplicating technical responsibilities.
  • Experience planning or coordinating user acceptance testing.
  • Strong project-management, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a compressed implementation schedule.
  • Availability throughout the anticipated project period - December 2026–June 30, 2027, with a possible short extension through August 2027
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with healthcare associations, nonprofit membership organizations, healthcare education, federally funded programs, or similarly complex organizations.
  • Experience aligning decentralized learning or professional-development programs.
  • Familiarity with learning-content inventories, migration planning, learner journeys, learning pathways, and evaluation.
  • Experience developing governance or pricing frameworks for free, member-based, and fee-based education.
  • Experience developing role-based training videos and digital support resources.
  • Familiarity with ADKAR, Prosci, Kotter, or another established change-management methodology.
