Job summary

McGarity Consulting Group is seeking an experienced LMS Specialist for a contingent, part-time engagement supporting a national healthcare association as it migrates to a new LMS. The role is remote (1099) and up to 20 hours per week, with a performance period from December 2026 through June 2027.

The LMS Specialist will advise on business processes, workflows, testing, reporting, and user adoption, not perform technical LMS setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• 3-5 years of experience administering, supporting, managing, or providing consultation related to Learning Management Systems.
• Hands-on experience with one or more major LMS platforms as listed.

Responsibilities

• Provide LMS subject matter expertise to organizational change management and learning teams.
• Collaborate with the vendor while maintaining boundaries between organizational change support and technical implementation.
• Translate business, learning, and user requirements into practical LMS workflows and processes.
• Map current and future-state workflows for LMS administrators, learning staff, instructors, and learners.
• Assist in content-migration readiness criteria, checklists, and tracking tools.
• Develop UAT scenarios based on staff and learner workflows and document findings.
