Job summary

Midwest Counseling Center in Garland, Texas is seeking a licensed mental health therapist to provide culturally responsive care in a remote-friendly clinic model. This full-time role focuses on individual, family, and group therapy with diverse client populations.

You will collaborate with psychiatrists and other clinicians, maintain EHR documentation, and engage in ongoing cultural competency training to stay current with best practices.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field.
• Current state licensure as LMFT/LPC/LCSW or Psychologist.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapy with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments.
• Implement evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).
• Lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other clinicians for comprehensive care, including medication management when needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as required.
• Educate patients and families about mental health disorders and community resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation using an EHR.
• Engage in ongoing cultural competency training and professional development.
