American Family Insurance is seeking a legal support professional to assist attorneys in defined phases of litigation or non-litigation under close supervision. The role emphasizes trial preparation, discovery management, and documentation accuracy within a remote-capable Portland area setup.

You will work with our Legal Services team to draft pleadings and memos, review medical records, and support investigations and witness preparation for hearings or trials as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Experience delivering customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Experience performing legal research and gathering medical records.
• Experience preparing pleadings, motions, deposition summaries and discovery responses.
• Knowledge of insurance, legal ethics rules and confidentiality.

• Assist attorney in trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, discovery documents, motions, deposition summaries and legal memoranda under supervision.
• Aid in organizing and summarizing medical records for discovery and trial prep.
• Conduct investigations and discovery under limited supervision.
• Draft discovery responses and assist in witness prep and demonstratives.
• Assist in complex depositions, hearings and trials as needed.
• Represent insured or company in small claims or subrogation where jurisdiction allows.
• Review files to identify issues and potential settlements.
