Job summary

Aldridge Pite, LLP, a multi-state law firm, is seeking a California-licensed Litigation Attorney on a remote, work-from-home basis to handle litigated matters focused on residential real estate, title to real property, mortgages, and foreclosures.

You will advise clients, draft pleadings, manage discovery, and appear at hearings and mediations, with an emphasis on defense litigation. Strong written and oral advocacy, plus compliance with California Bar requirements, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active California State Bar member in good standing.
• Ability to consistently bill 1920 hours per year.
• Foreclosure and real estate/mortgage servicing knowledge preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation stemming from mortgage servicing and/or foreclosure matters.
• Manage pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property.
• Prepare analysis of cases and advise client regarding strategies.
• Draft court pleadings and motions.
• Discovery, including taking & defending depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences and make court appearances.
