Job summary

Aldridge Pite, LLP is seeking a California-licensed Litigation Attorney to handle litigated matters with emphasis on defensive litigation involving residential real estate, title to real property, mortgages and foreclosure. The role requires excellent advocacy, strong writing and oral skills, and the ability to manage a large caseload in a remote work environment.

Ideal candidates will have a JD, active CA State Bar membership, and demonstrated capacity to bill 1920 hours annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
• Ability to consistently bill 1920 hours per year.
• Knowledge of foreclosure processes is preferred.
• Experience in real estate or mortgage servicing is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation stemming from mortgage servicing and/or foreclosure matters.
• Manage pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property.
• Prepare analysis of cases and advise client regarding strategies.
• Draft court pleadings and motions.
• Discovery including taking and defending depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences and court appearances.
• All other duties as assigned.
