Job summary

Welocalize, Inc. is seeking a Linguistic QA Tester to proofread and edit localized content in your native language, ensuring grammar, punctuation and style accuracy.

You will also translate occasionally from English and verify user interfaces for functional issues across software and documentation, maintaining high quality standards. You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong English skills, and the ability to work onsite or at a client location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Localization/QA/translation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write and report relevant bugs and errors using internal database system.
• Ability to understand and prioritize tasks and issues quickly.
• Native language skills and cultural awareness of native country.
• Clear oral and written communication.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and quality.
• QA various products by following testing instructions and test cases.
• Discover and report defects using client-specific bug tracking tools.
• Evaluate translations in the context of software, mobile apps and documentation.
• Be a subject matter expert for linguistic issues in the target language.
