Manulife John Hancock seeks a Life Underwriting Auditor to audit underwriting initiatives and verify alignment with pricing, mortality assumptions and regulatory requirements.

You will review medical and financial underwriting decisions, identify trends, and prepare reports with actionable recommendations for management. This remote role offers partnership with Risk, Training, and Innovation teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in life insurance underwriting with medical and financial expertise.
• Ability to interpret complex data and assess risk appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication for leadership and underwriters.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post issue audits and monitor new underwriting initiatives for technical accuracy.
• Review medical, financial, and operational soundness to ensure guideline adherence.
• Identify trends in audit results and prepare clear reports with recommendations.
• Collaborate with Underwriting Management and Risk Management on CAPs and remediation.
• Support enhancement of the Underwriting Risk Control Framework and KRIs.
• Translate audit findings into targeted training and guideline clarifications.
