Qualifications

• 5+ years of life insurance underwriting experience.
• Experience in medical and financial underwriting.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products and guidelines.
• Interpret complex medical/financial information and assess risk.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with leadership.
• Professional discretion handling sensitive information.
• Experience in audit, QA, or risk management preferred.
• Familiarity with governance frameworks and regulatory expectations.
• Comfort with data analysis using Excel/BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post-issue audits of underwriting initiatives to assess technical accuracy and guideline adherence.
• Review underwriting decisions for medical, financial, and operational soundness.
• Identify trends in audit results and prepare structured reports for management.
• Collaborate with Underwriting Management and Risk Management to monitor CAPs.
• Support enhancement of the Underwriting Risk Control Framework and KRIs.
• Translate audit findings into targeted training and guideline clarifications.
• Provide input into innovation initiatives by testing impact on underwriting quality.
• Design and execute targeted audits for Underwriting Innovation initiatives.
• Ensure audit documentation is complete and suitable for internal audit and regulatory review.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit frameworks and metrics.
