Job summary

Translation Excellence, Inc. is seeking a highly specialized Life Science Linguist to provide translation, revision, and editing of technical, medical, and regulatory documents on a remote, contractor basis.

You will work independently on projects from English (USA) to Italian, ensure 100% technical accuracy, and conform to ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 standards with CAT tools like SDL Trados, memoQ, and Memsource.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional life science translation/editing experience.
• Native-level fluency in Italian and professional-level English.
• Experience with regulatory documents (EMA/FDA) and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Translate life science documents from English (USA) to Italian with high accuracy.
• Review and revise translations against source text to ensure completeness and correctness.
• Edit for style, flow, and native-idiomatic Italian suitable for publication or regulatory submission.
• Manage terminology with glossaries and translation memories.
