Translation Excellence, Inc. seeks a remote Life Science Linguist to translate, revise, and edit technical and regulatory documents from English (USA) to Portuguese (Portugal) on a project-by-project basis as a 1099 contractor.

Required qualifications include an advanced life sciences degree or translation background, 5+ years of experience, and native-level Portuguese with English proficiency, plus expertise in CAT tools and regulatory terminology.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in the target language (Portuguese) and professional mastery of English
• 5+ years of professional life science translation/editing experience
• Experience handling high-stakes regulatory content (EMA/FDA, MedDRA, EDQM)

Responsabilités

• Translate complex life science documents from English (USA) to Portuguese (Portugal) with high technical accuracy
• Review and revise translations to ensure no omissions or terminology errors
• Edit and proofread for style, flow, and regulatory publication readiness
• Manage client glossaries and translation memories for consistency
• Adhere to ISO 17100 and ISO 13485 quality standards in linguistic work
