Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking talented individuals for a 100% remote, 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales role. You’ll leverage teaching skills to explain coverage options to families who requested information, on a schedule you manage.

You’ll meet by phone or video, listen to families, and guide them through applications, underwriting, and final steps while maintaining CRM notes and staying current with product changes. Requires licensing or plan to obtain.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, coaching, or working in a school setting.
• Gift for explaining complicated ideas clearly to families.
• Able to plan your own schedule and work independently.
• State life insurance license, or plan to obtain before first sale.
• Willing to learn a regulated field from the ground up.
• Must be at least 18 and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Meet by phone or video with people who asked about life insurance.
• Listen to the family’s situation, goals, and worries.
• Explain coverage options in plain language and complete the application together.
• Follow applications through underwriting and keep families informed.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM.
• Engage in ongoing learning as products and rules change.
