Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking a remote, 1099 life insurance sales specialist who will help families understand options and guide them through licensing if needed. This is a 100% remote, independent-contractor role focused on customer service, listening, and clear explanations to move questions toward decisions.

You will return calls from inquiries, learn households\' goals, present coverage options, complete applications with clients, and log notes in the CRM.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, support, or call-center work where listening came first.
• Patient explaining unfamiliar details more than once without sounding rehearsed.
• Willing to complete state licensing before selling; timelines vary by state.
• A computer, a phone, and reliable internet.
• At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Return calls from people who have already asked about life insurance.
• Listen first: learn the household, goals, and concerns before presenting anything.
• Explain options in plain language, then complete the application together.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM so no follow-up slips.
• Check in with each client while the carrier reviews their application.
• Keep learning products, carriers, and state rules through ongoing training.
