Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking a remote, independent-contractor life insurance sales professional. You’ll help families understand options, guide them through licensing if needed, and complete applications with clients.

Responsibilities include returning inquiries, listening to goals, explaining options clearly, recording CRM notes, and supporting clients through carrier reviews. Ongoing training and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or call-center environments with listening first.
• Ability to explain options clearly and guide to a decision.
• Willing to obtain state life insurance licensing; timelines vary by state.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Return calls from people who have already asked about life insurance.
• Listen first to learn the household’s goals and concerns before presenting options.
• Explain options in plain language, then complete the application with the client.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM to prevent follow-up slips.
• Check in with each client while the carrier reviews their application.
• Keep learning about products, carriers, and state rules through ongoing training.
