The Wood Agency Life is seeking a 100% remote, 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales professional to help families understand coverage options and complete applications.

You'll handle inbound leads, explain choices in plain language, and guide clients through licensing if needed. A strong focus on quality service, continual learning, and compliance will drive success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or call-center settings with a listening-first approach.
• Willingness to obtain state licensing to sell life insurance; licensing timelines vary by state.
• Own a computer, a phone, and reliable internet connection.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Return calls from people who have already asked about life insurance.
• Listen first: learn the household, goals, and concerns before presenting anything.
• Explain options in plain language, then complete the application together.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM so no follow-up slips.
• Check in with each client while the carrier reviews their application.
• Keep learning products, carriers, and state rules through ongoing training.
