Job summary

Thrivent Financial is seeking an Operations Case Manager to support field staff by owning Life and Health new business cases with an advisor-centric approach. You will manage communications, ensure timely, accurate case handling, and drive continuous improvement across Thrivent’s operations.

The role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, the ability to influence without authority, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years in financial services with life/health insurance, sales, or customer service preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication with high professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external parties.
• Demonstrated issue identification and solid problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key contact for Life and Health applications for field staff.
• Handle calls, emails, and Teams messages with accountability for case handling.
• Manage lifecycle of each application to service standards with priority given to workload.
• Review documentation to ensure 'in good order' prior to submission.
• Provide regular updates on critical cases to various audiences including leadership.
• Share process improvement ideas to foster continuous improvement and client/advisor focus.
• Model Thrivent leadership competencies in daily work and decision-making.
• Respond to field staff questions on new business, contracts, and underwriting; guide and resolve problems.
