Job summary

Thrivent Insurance Agency is seeking an Operations Specialist to manage production reporting and commission reconciliation, ensuring accurate agency revenue. The role serves as a field liaison across sales and service, driving efficiencies with Thrivent’s distribution channels.

You will collaborate with leaders to implement improvements, support carrier relationships, and handle non-routine escalated cases with timely resolution. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent work experience would be considered.
• Life/health insurance license or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• At least 5 years of production support, insurance agency operations, or business process analyst experience.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance agency operations and industry standards.
• Experience with brokerage general agency operations.
• Experience onboarding advisors.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and identify inefficiencies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with advisors and internal teams.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize work and solve problems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary contact for complex service-related issues.
• Problem solve a variety of issues with minimal direction, including in-force service issues.
• Assist with resolution of escalated cases and support training.
• Research and develop recommendations for best practices and SOPs.
• Implement and administer business processes, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain and optimize workflow, agency management, or related systems.
• Test new tools prior to implementation and ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with partners to identify process improvements.
• Manage commission schedule setup and updates; reconcile expected vs actual revenues.
• Prepare daily and monthly production reports for leadership.
