AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Licensing Engineer Energy for a remote role based out of Oak Ridge, TN. The role focuses on licensing, evaluation, and compliance for fuel cycle facilities under 10 CFR Part 70. Collaboration with engineers and contractors is essential to prepare robust licensing content.

The candidate should have a nuclear engineering background, 3+ years in licensing or regulatory affairs, and strong technical writing skills. A PE license or related qualifications are desirable; U.S.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant nuclear industry experience.
• Experience drafting licensing applications or regulatory documentation.
• Familiarity with 10 CFR Part 70 licensing processes.
• Prior interaction with NRC or regulatory bodies is desirable.
• Strong technical writing with traceability and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned sections of 10 CFR Part 70 license applications under supervision.
• Perform licensing evaluations and applicability determinations for assigned sections.
• Gather and coordinate design, process, and operational inputs from the client and contractors.
• Review content for consistency, completeness, and gaps; raise issues to senior licensing staff.
• Identify licensing commitments and record them with traceability to regulatory bases.
• Support responses to NRC information requests and licensing presentations.
• Maintain schedules, ensure timeliness, and raise issues affecting delivery.
