Job summary

AtkinsRéalis US Nuclear is seeking a Process/Chemical Engineer Energy for a remote role based out of Oak Ridge, TN. The engineer will develop process diagrams, perform balance calculations, and ensure compliance with NRC and DOE standards while supporting nuclear facility projects.

Minimum two years post-baccalaureate experience and knowledge of process simulation tools are required; PE license is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Two years post-baccalaureate experience in nuclear facility design, construction or operations.
• Knowledge of NRC regulations, design codes and standards for commercial nuclear facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops process drawings, P&IDs, and engineering flow diagrams.
• Performs mass, energy and flow balances and equipment sizing calculations.
• Ensures designs comply with DOE/NRC regulations and QA standards.
