Job summary

AtkinsRéalis US Nuclear seeks a Process/Chemical Engineer Energy to support remote work from Oak Ridge, TN. You will contribute to nuclear facility design, safety analyses, and engineering documentation for government and commercial clients. Strong NRC knowledge and communication skills are essential.

The role requires a chemical engineering degree, 2+ years post-baccalaureate experience, and familiarity with process simulation software. PE license is desirable and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of two years post-baccalaureate experience.
• Nuclear facility design, construction or operations experience.
• Knowledge of NRC regulations, design codes and standards for commercial nuclear facilities.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License desired.

Responsibilities

• Develops system architecture, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams for nuclear facilities.
• Performs calculations including mass, energy and flow balances; equipment sizing.
• Ensures designs comply with NRC/DOE standards and quality requirements.
• Produces technical documentation and supports change control processes.
• Collaborates with sub-contractors and design consultants to meet project goals.
