Job summary

East Metro Counseling Services is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide remote, full-time mental health services from Chattanooga, TN. The role emphasizes culturally competent care for diverse populations and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will conduct assessments, implement evidence-based therapies, and help coordinate comprehensive care with psychiatrists and other health professionals while maintaining strict confidentiality in EHRs.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, MFT, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current valid license as LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments and create personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based approaches.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals for integrated care.
• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies with immediate support.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and resources.
• Maintain confidential EHR-based patient records per ethical standards.
• Participate in case conferences and team discussions to share insights.
• Stay updated with research and best practices in cultural competence.
