Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, providing you with the flexibility to integrate your professional responsibilities with personal commitments while also supporting a diverse client base. Our dedicated team of professionals collaborates effectively through virtual meetings, case discussions, and ongoing training in cultural competence to ensure that all staff members are equipped to address the unique challenges faced by our patients. The standard work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility in hours to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments that delve into patients' unique backgrounds to formulate personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, tailoring approaches to meet the distinct needs and cultural contexts of each patient.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions focused on mental health concerns, fostering resilience and personal growth.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to provide coordinated, integrated care to clients.
• Provide crisis intervention services during emergencies, ensuring immediate support and stability for affected individuals.
• Educate patients and their families about various mental health conditions, potential treatment pathways, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Participate actively in case conferences and team discussions, contributing insights from your specialized knowledge in cultural competence and therapy methodologies.
• Stay current with ongoing research and best practices, continuously enhancing your therapeutic methods and cultural understanding.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methods, and cultural competency in therapeutic practices.
• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy through culturally responsive approaches.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the capacity to maintain composure in challenging circumstances.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, particularly in building rapport with diverse individuals and groups.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems and familiar with basic computer applications.
• A strong commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and ensuring patient confidentiality.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a community health setting or outpatient psychiatry office.
• Familiarity with specific challenges faced by diverse populations in mental health services.
• A background in managing caseloads while providing supervision or mentorship to entry-level counselors can be advantageous.
