Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• Extensive understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches tailored for diverse populations.
• Proven experience in delivering effective individual and group therapy using culturally responsive methodologies.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with a calm demeanor in high-stress situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities that foster rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and general computer applications essential for documenting patient care.
• Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and the preservation of client dignity.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand each patient’s challenges, integrating diverse cultural perspectives into treatment planning.
• Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs while respecting personal and cultural backgrounds.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health concerns and promoting resilience, employing a client-centered approach.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to create cohesive treatment plans that ensure continuity of care for all patients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention support when necessary, using de-escalation techniques to help manage patient emergencies effectively.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and engagement in treatment.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.
